Placement Bonus
Lateral Link typically provides a placement bonus to Members for most Am Law 200 placements. The placement bonus amount is $10,000 for positions with a base salary of at least $170,000; and $5,000 for positions with a base salary of less than $170,000. Please confirm with your search consultant as to whether a specific position qualifies for a placement bonus. In general, Lateral Link provides a placement bonus when the attorney moves from one AmLaw 200 firm to another AmLaw 200 firm, BUT does NOT provide a bonus for moves to law firms outside of the AmLaw 200 or in-house counsel positions. Additionally, we are unable to offer a signing bonus for some law firm positions in certain instances, given the arrangement with the employer.
Placed candidates will receive their placement bonus only after Lateral Link fully earns its fee from the law firm, which is subject to Lateral Link’s agreement with each employer, and can range from six to twelve months.
