A: Lateral Link integrates an efficient web-based legal jobs database with all the services of a traditional legal recruiting firm:

  • Our Members access online our web-based legal job database

  • Our experienced recruiting consultants assist Members with their job search process


A: Your detailed profile allows us to filter relevant new job postings to you based on your specific experience and interests. Members may also search our full web-based job database for a broader view of the market at any time. A Member's personal information is never disclosed to any Employer until the Member explicitly decides to commence the placement process with a particular Employer.


A: Your involvement with Lateral Link is completely confidential. Only Lateral Link employees have access to member information. No employer or Lateral Link member can view any identifying information for any other member.


A: Lateral Link NEVER sends a Members information to an Employer until the Member has discussed the placement process with a Lateral Link consultant and affirmatively authorizes the consultant to submit the Member's candidacy to a specific Employer.


A: If a Member is actively looking to make a move, a Lateral Link consultant will customize a tailored search for the Member, conduct extensive research on the possible new positions, review and revise the Member's resume, and oversee all of the application and interview scheduling logistics, and facilitate post interview discussions, such as negotiating salary and start-dates.


A: There are many reasons working with Lateral Link is better for a job seeker than submitting an application directly:

  • Employers rely on Lateral Link to pre-screen candidates, so when we submit an application, Employers know the candidate has our stamp of approval and credibility.

  • Our relationship with Employers allows us to confirm review of and respond to questions regarding a candidate's application (i.e., not lost in the shuffle).

  • Our experienced consultants provide guidance, review, critique, and advice for strengthening a candidate's application.

  • We manage application and interview logistics, saving the candidate time, but also making coordination for multiple interviews possible.

  • We negotiate on behalf of our Members once an offer has been obtained, relieving our Members from the awkward situation of negotiating against your future Employer.


A: Lateral Link has thousands of positions in our database that have been obtained from Employers with the understanding that Lateral Link does not widely publicize the information. As a result, Lateral Link has a commitment to our Employer Clients, and is able to source greater volumes of positions by meeting this commitment, to make certain opportunities are released only to qualified candidates with relevant experience. As a result, Employer' names are not initially disclosed, unless Lateral Link's system determines that the Member and the position are a suitable match, whereby the Member can instantly reveal the Employer's information.


A: Members who are not a direct match for a particular position can request to have the Employer's information revealed for the position. In this instance, a Lateral Link consultant will review the request and reveal the information, after confirming that the Member is a suitable candidate for the position.

A: Lateral Link's policy is to assign one consultant to provide individualized support to each Member throughout the recruitment and job transition process.
